03 December 2013 - Life after #NaNoWriMo 2013
I crossed the 2013 National Novel Writing Month finish line with just above 50,100 words, with 13 hours to spare. This was my third year, but my first “win.”

Right now, I’m stable and reasonably happy and I have a plan. My 36th year was good, and I intend to use it as a platform for an even better 37th year.

Drip by drip, the things that made Grand Rapids great are being eroded in service to a faux cosmopolitanism prevalent among our current batch of leaders. Apparently, it’s not enough to have a great city if we’re not whispered about with envy among the Professional Planning Apparatchiks at various national conventions and left-leaning think tanks.
