Hiking at Isle Royale National Park wasn’t what I expected. The scenery was even more lush and awe-inspiring than I expected. The terrain was tougher. The isolation hit harder. But I’d go back again in a heartbeat, provided I had some fellow travelers and suitable cat-care lined up back home.
